Lexis is a lovingly restored former Armagnac domain which retains many original features. Situated in the beautiful gers, 7kms from Eauze the capital of the Armagnac region, it is surrounded by fields and vineyards with open views to the Pyrenees.
The Maison de gardien is a well appointed 4 bedroom house and the Pigeonnier is a charming 2 bedroom cottage. Both properties offer self catering accommodation. We also offer bed and breakfast in the Maison de Maitre. It is possible to rent all three houses, a total of 11 bedrooms, for large groups and events. There is a huge 200 square metre barn for indoor activities.
Set in 5 hectares of private garden and woodland with swimming pool, swings, croquet, badminton and boules court, Lexis is a tranquil setting from which to discover the unspoilt wealth of rural Gascony.

Maison de gardien is the charming former farm manager’s cottage, extended into the hayloft to create 4 generous bedrooms, 2 doubles 1 twin and a triple. All have beautiful views of the garden and the surrounding Gascogne countryside. There is a full bathroom, a shower room and two separate loos all on the first floor . Downstairs there is a large well equipped kitchen diner and sitting room with wood burning stove, comfortable seating, TV/DVD and a large selection of books, games and DVDs and Broadband Wifi . Outside there is a sunny patio for 'al fresco' eating and a covered terrace
The Pigeonnier is small but perfectly formed. It was converted into a stylish self catering country gite in 2007. There are 70m2 of living space with 2 bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor. Downstairs there is an open plan living area, with a fully equipped kitchen at one end and dining space in the middle. Outside there are terraces to north and south and a private south facing garden. The pigeonnier is equipped with UK and French TV and broadband Wifi connection.
Our bed and breakfast rooms with ensuite shower rooms with WC and basin are on the first floor of the Maison de Maitre. They are equipped with double beds, beautiful views and internet access. Breakfast is served either on the terrace or in the ground floor dining room.
Lexis is on the western side of The Gers, 7km from the pretty market town of Eauze which has an excellent weekly market as well as bars, restaurants and supermarkets. There are medieval bastides and villages all around the department which is steeped in a rich history. Eauze was the regional capital in Roman times and there is a fine collection of treasure in the museum and outstanding mosaics at Seviac.
Golf de Guinlet, an 18 hole course is ten minutes away; the music festivals of Marciac, Vic Fezensac and Mirande are all within easy striking distance; the beach at Mimizan, excellent for bodyboarding and surfing and the Pyrenees are highly recommended for day trips.
